The Coconut won sixth best school paper in secondary english category bagging the awards 1st place in sports page and 4th place best in science and health page.

The said event was held at Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur last January 22 to 25.

​

The conference was themed as "Strenthening Freedom of Information through Communication" aiming to equip and privide students with knowledge, skills and experience in Campus Journalism.

This also aims to sustain advocacy on social conciousness and environmental awareness, promote responsible journalism and fair ethical use of social media, and emhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly competitions.
