In an interview with DOH assistant secretary Eric Tayag, he talked about Japanese Encephalitis which can cause death to its victim.

 

According to Tayag, JE causes an inflammation in the brain due to a bite of a mosquito specie called culex tritaeniorhynchus.

 

Moreover, cases of JE reached 133 from January to August. according to him, commercially available vaccines are more expensive.

 

He also stated that there is a new technology wherein the symptoms of Japanese Encephalitis will be easily identified.
